Praise and worship play a key role at charismatic gatherings. Why is praise and worship so important? When do we speak of charismatic music? What are the characteristics of charismatic music? These are only a few questions we will answer in this workshop. The topics of the 4 units are: • Praise and worship as the "key role" at charismatic gatherings • "Being caught by the wave of God" – music and charismatic movements • "Experience the closeness of God in praise and worship?" – Analyzing charismatic music (Part 1) • "Experiencing God in a quick and easy way?" – Analyzing charismatic music (Part 2) Dietmar Pickhardt is a music teacher at a public school as well as the Adventist Seminary Seminar Schloss Bogenhofen in Austria. He teaches Music Education, Instrumental Music Education and Theology of Music. His emphases are Choir Mastering and Church Music. Writing and playing music is a crucial part of his life. He loves working with young people, especially if it comes to music. He is married and has three children. |
